Fabric Descriptions & Care Guide
Our fabric selection is carefully considered when creating our garments. We take into account the feel, texture, practicality and of course the quality of the material. Here is a list of the fabrics we use along with their care instructions.
100% Peached Micro Fibre
Ultra-fine polyester filaments brushed to a velvety, skin-soft finish. Lightweight, quick-drying, and built to handle chlorine, saltwater and everything the water throws at it. Holds its shape wash after wash and offers UPF sun protection — the ideal swims shorts fabric for South African summers.
Care Instructions
- Machine wash cold, gentle cycle
- Hang out to dry or tumble dry low
- No bleach and avoid fabric softeners
- Do not iron
Poly Spandex
Our ladies swimwear is made from a 80% polyester, 20% spandex (elastane) blend. This fabric is built for movement and a second-skin fit that goes the distance. Chlorine and salt water resistant, colourfast, with four-way stretch that bounces back to retain its shape after every session.
Care Instructions
- Rinse in fresh water after use
- Hand wash or gentle machine wash, cold
- Mild detergent only
- Hang dry away from direct sunlight
- Don't wring — it breaks down the stretch fibresNo bleach. No tumble dry
100% French Linen
Sourced from flax plants grown in the cool, damp climates of northern France — the gold standard of linen production — French linen is prized for its exceptional breathability, natural lustre, and durability. It gets softer with every wash, wicks moisture away from the skin effortlessly, and is naturally hypoallergenic and antibacterial. The ultimate warm-weather luxury fabric.
Care Instructions
- Machine wash warm (40°C) on a gentle cycle, or hand wash
- Use a gentle detergent
- Tumble dry low or lay flat to dry
- Medium Iron while slightly damp for a crisp finish — or skip it for the lived-in look
Linen / Rayon Blend
Linen's natural breathability meets rayon's fluid drape in this 70% rayon, 30% linen blend. Textured but less structured than pure linen, with a relaxed, resort-ready hand-feel that works for warm evenings and slow afternoons.
Care Instructions
- Hand wash cold or delicate machine wash, cold water
- Mild detergent only
- Lay flat or hang to dry — no tumble dryIron on low heat while damp
- Iron on low heat while damp
Viscose
Plant-based and silky-soft against the skin. Viscose hangs beautifully, feels cool, and has a subtle natural sheen. Treat it gently and it will reward you with lasting softness and shape.
Care Instructions
- Hand wash cold with gentle detergent — or dry clean
- If machine washing: delicate cycle, cold, in a mesh laundry bag
- Lay flat to dry. No tumble dry
- Iron on low-medium while slightly damp. Keep away from heat
100% Cotton
One of the world's most trusted natural fibers. Soft, breathable, and gentle on all skin types. Durable and easy to care for — wash it, wear it, repeat.
Care Instructions
- Machine wash 30–40°C (cold to minimise shrinkage)
- Tumble dry medium or hang dryIron on medium-high if needed
- Separate darks and lights.
- First wash cold — 100% cotton may shrink slightly
Performance Polyester
Our performance polyester built for the course and beyond. Featherlight, moisture-wicking, and wrinkle-resistant — it pulls sweat away fast so you stay focused on the round, not the shirt.
Care Instructions
- Machine wash cold to 40°C, gentle cycle
- Hang dry or tumble dry low
- Avoid fabric softeners — they coat the fibres and block moisture-wicking performance
- Low iron on synthetic setting if needed. No dry cleaning
Unbrushed Cotton Fleece
Medium-weight, smooth-faced, and lighter than traditional fleece. Warm enough to layer on a cool morning, breathable enough to wear all day. Cotton comfort with just enough structure to hold a clean silhouette on our quarter zips and crew neck sweaters.
Care
- Machine wash warm (30–40°C) — turn inside out to protect the surface and reduce pilling
- Tumble dry medium-low — remove promptly to prevent shrinkage
- Iron on medium if needed, away from any print or embroidery
- No bleach
